The gap
Gambling disorder is the only major addiction with no objective measure. Clinicians ask the patient, and the disorder is partly defined by concealment. The bank statement is the only signal that shows up early, and today almost nobody is reading it.
Site blockers stop access at the point of purchase. They don't report, don't involve another person, and are trivially routed around.
